SPRING FAIR & FUN RUN 2009.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help out; despite the Great British Weather doing it’s best to spoil things it was a huge success.

The total raised will be published next term once figures have been finalised. In the meantime, even if you have forgotten to hand your Fun Run sponsorship money into the office, don’t worry we will still collect it from the office in the first week we return after half term.

PTA Meeting

 

Fun Fridays.

This is the sale, in the playground after school, of cakes, sweets & fruit. To ensure it is not too onerous we have mixed year groups and planned these to take place every other Friday. Could Year Reps please ensure their year group is aware and speak to a committee member if they want anything clarified about these events. Thank you.

Disco & Barn Dance.

Arrangements for tickets will be confirmed shortly after half term.

Sports Day Refreshments.

If you are able to help please speak to Becky Muller or Sara Hicken.

New Parent Refreshments.

The PTA is keen to provide a friendly face as well as a cup of coffee/ tea to new parents whilst their children are taking part in settling in days/ teddy bears picnic. Can you spare an hour on Monday, June 29 or Wednesday, June 24 morning? If so, please speak to Becky Muller or Sara Hicken asap.

Next PTA Meeting.

This is on June 22, 2009. At this meeting Becky Muller will be standing down as Chair of the PTA. If you would be interested in taking up this position then please speak to a committee member or come along to the meeting. As always, everyone is welcome to come and provide their support/ ideas to the committee.

SPRING FAIR & FUN RUN Saturday, May 16, 2009.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help out. Even if it rains, the fair will still be on so bring rain Macs, umbrellas, Wellington boots and your Great British sense of humour! See you Saturday.

Remember:

  • Fun Run Warm Up is at 12.15, run begins at 12.30pm.
  • Fair begins at 1pm until 4pm.
  • Sold Raffle tickets can be given to the PTA Stall on Saturday.
  • Bring your paper plate full of cakes to the Cake Stall on Saturday.
  • Fun Run sponsorship must be returned to the school office by Friday 22nd May.

BAGS 2 SCHOOL WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2009.

Please bring any unwanted items such as clothes, soft furnishings, shoes, soft toys in the blue bag provided (or a black bin liner) to the corner of Breach Lane and Langley Road between 8.30 and 9am on Wednesday 20th May. Please do not take items into School, as there are no facilities to store them. Bags have now been distributed; please use a black bin liner if you require more bags.

SPRING FAIR & FUN RUN May 16, 2009.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help out. However, we still need people to:

  • Hay Bales.
    Help us source three hale bales for the fun run urgently. In addition, we need help one more person to help James Hickens and Andy Pruthi at 9.30am on the 16th to distribute the hay along the route. If you can help please call Sara Hicken on 01789 730952.
  • be a Marshall for the Fun Run.
    Could all those who have volunteered to date meet in the playground at 11:20am on May 16, 2009.
  • Help set up.
    If you can help please come to school between 9:30am and 12:00 noon. Any help would be appreciated.
  • Assist on a stall.
    We need people to specifically help Lucy Wade on the sweet stall. If you can spare 30 minutes then please speak to Lucy ASAP.

Fun run.

Please register before race day as there will be no entrants on the day and you need to get your sponsorship sorted! Entry Forms, together with Sponsorship Forms, are available from the School Office.

Raffle tickets.

Please try and sell these – all profits go to the school- and return completed stubs and money office before May 16, 2009.

BAGS 2 SCHOOL WEDNESDAY MAY 20, 2009.

SCHOOL DISCO.

As Year 6 will be away on 19th June, the new date for the School Disco will be Monday, June 29. More details to follow.

ORCHARD TOYS AND MINI IQ.

Both these companies will have stalls at the fair. They have agreed to donate 10-15% of any sales either on the day or via their websites during the month of May to the PTA. Codes to identify yourselves and website details will be available at the fair.

SPRING FAIR & FUN RUN MAY 16, 2009.

Arrangements are now well underway for this year’s Spring Fair and Fun Run to be held on May 16, 2009. Please note the time of the fair has changed for this year. Stalls will open following the fun run at 1pm.

We are particularly looking for helpers to:

  • be a Marshall for the Fun Run.
    Same route as in previous years along Langley Road, looping around the School along the Public access footpath into Breach Lane and back to School. We need people to guide and help runners along the route. If you can help please contact Sara Hicken on 01789 730952.
  • Run stalls for an hour during the fair. If you can help please contact Becky Muller or Claire Williams (numbers below).
  • Donations are required for our tombola.
    Boxes are in classrooms from Tuesday, May 5 so please dig out and donate any item you feel may be suitable. In return your child may participate in our non-uniform day on Friday, May 8.

This year there will be nearly new school uniform stall. Please can you let us have any donations of unwanted school uniform which is in reasonable condition.

Phones 4 schools.

We need another 25 mobile phones to obtain a cheque for £200. There will be a bin to collect any phones you may have (or ask family and friends for some) at the school fair.

TIMES BOOK VOUCHERS.

Thank you to everyone who collected these. The school has ordered 14 books free of charge! The Times are currently running another scheme so please keep collecting and sending them into school.
